✨The Body Image Conundrum✨

[vc_row css=».vc_custom_1547571751104{padding-top: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;}»][vc_column][vc_column_text]Visual appearance and body weight are concepts that have been shaped by the media and advertising- what is SEEN as “ideal” 🧜🏻‍♀️- has resulted in people feeling self-conscious or inadequate 😩 about themselves. Mainly because of repeated failures at transforming themselves into a shape they aren’t meant to be 🙅🏻‍♀️…

Learn to accept yourself for the beautiful, authentic and true person you are 🤩. We come in all different sizes and shapes, and genes are the main determinant in this.

It is possible to obtain significant changes in your body through consistency and effort 💪, but don’t expect a complete transformation. Even if you lose the excess weight and exercise vigorously; the results will probably not meet skewed expectations of “ideal” 🧚🏻‍♀️. LOVE ❤️ yourself by setting realistic and uplifting goals.

The most important piece of advice I could give you is to be Healthy ⛑ and learn to let go of your dissatisfaction with your physical appearance. Love yourself for who you are 😍 – eating healthy and exercising will stop being a battle ⚔️ and more of a lifelong journey🛤…

Personally, I come from a culture in which beauty and self-image result in misshapen perceptions of power and acceptance… Pressure to LOOK 👀 a certain way is an understatement… “Beauty” 🌹 and physical image are markers of approval and inclusion. But as a Venezuelan woman who doesn’t want to be labeled and distinguished for someone’s interpretation of Beauty- I am constantly working towards changing these misconceptions that are rooted 🌿 in my upbringing. Understanding and believing beauty comes from within 👤 has given me a renowned sense of empowerment.

❤️With Love❤️
