ABOUT ME
Expert in the field of Medical Nutrition Therapy

- My name is Veronica Carles. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to Seattle, to attend Seattle Pacific University where I majored in Nutritional Sciences. After graduation, I interned at Sea Mar Community Health Centers. I became a registered dietitian in 2011.
- Since a young age, nutrition has been a drive of mine. At age 15, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which causes hormonal imbalances among other complications. When not managed adequately, weight gain is a common consequence. This sparked my curiosity and subsequent commitment to learn about medical nutrition therapy management and the impact food has on our bodies.
It was my own process of transformation and growth that originated from my personal journey of losing 60 pounds over a one-year period which led me to develop this real and authentic connection with my clients. Truly relating and sharing my insights, allows me to be privileged to guide you through your own path. My one passion and calling in life is to motivate people, so they are inspired to find balance and discover a place of fulfillment, acceptance and heightened nutritional knowledge.

Marathons
I started running as a form of exercise in February 2018, since then I have done many half marathons. Some of these include:
- • Seattle Rock and Roll Half (June 10th , 2018) – 1 hour 58 min.
- • Lake Washington Half (November 25th , 2018) – 1 hour 49 min.
- • Miami Half (February 6th , 2022) – 2 hours 16 min.
- • Clearwater Rock and Roll Half (October 8th, 2023) – 2 hours 22 min.
Working with a physical trainer, allows me to:
- Strengthen my core and be all-encompassing in terms of my exercise routine.
- Produces more effective and efficient results
I have been practicing yoga for more than 15 years now, Power Vinyasa Hot Yoga is where I find my Zen. It’s how I fell in love with exercising. Yoga also gives me an amazing community of like-minded people who I love sharing my energy with. My hardest yoga challenge thus far, has been doing three Yoga-thons which consist of 5 to 6 hours of yoga.
MY ACTIVITIES
Exercise lover
Exercise is a very important part of my life. It not only helps me feel strong and fit, but it centers me and let’s be honest, it keeps me sane. On a regular basis, I practice:
- Hot yoga.
- Run.
- Work with a physical trainer.
I also love doing fun and dynamic workouts such as:
- Barry´s Bootcamp.
- Soul-cycle
Running started off as a true challenge for me because I use to hate it. The irony, now it’s a deep passion in my life that drives me to push myself and has allowed me to evolve physically.
As we grow in our own journey, our perception of what is difficult changes. This allows us to explore new boundaries and consider new challenges. Don’t be intimidated by other people’s goals or feel less because of it; do you! Persistence, dedication and commitment will take you there.

Thank you very much!
